We were met by the fabulous FERNANDO who was a treasure of knowledge, everything from history, culture, birds, trees as well as being a wonderfully courteous discreet and obliging. Unforgetteble It’s difficult to find effective words to describe our esperienze in Sri Lanka with jonathanway and Milton, as a driver, as a guide, as a friend.We have been all around the island for terre week: seven old ( and golden😀) ladies coming from Italy, who wanted to enjoy nature, archeological sites, cities and beach. For a different riding experience! NOT Just A Driver!We were on a feasibility study tour for 3 days. We wanted a comfortable ride with someone who knows the road network. I am glad that we had Fernando. He is not just a driver he is a practical knowledge hub, must say a jack of all trades. Enjoyed our 3 days the van was a Toyota brand new 2017 one with line AC it has a cool box. Fernando... the best driver and guide of Sri Lanka! Siamo tre amiche arrivate in Sri Lanka il 30 settembre con il viaggio già pianificato nei minimi dettagli. Tutto cambia dall’incontro con Fernando.Persona onesta, amichevole, disponibile e soprattutto molto acculturata per quello che riguarda il suo Paese e non solo. Sin da subito decidiamo di cambiare i nostri piani e di farci “trasportare” all’interno di questo viaggio proprio da lui, dalla sua conoscienza. Fernando è una guida eccellente ed eccelsa, non solo ci accompagna nei luoghi da visitare, ma ci spiega in ogni minimo dettaglio la storia di tutto quello che vediamo, tenendoci completamente rapite concentrate sui suoi racconti. Guida per noi per chilometri e ore estenuanti, sempre con il sorriso senza mai opporsi a nessuna richiesta che gli venga fatta. È sempre pronto ad accontentare ogni nostro desiderio. Tutto ciò può sembrare banale e solito per una guida, infatti, la cosa che lo contraddistingue dalla massa è proprio il fatto che per far conoscere al 100% il suo paese, ci porta nei posti non turistici, quelli che le guide non riportano nelle loro pagine. Non importa se si trovino lungo il tragitto che sta percorrendo con il suo van o se siano sulla strada che stiamo percorrendo insieme a piedi, lui a prescindere si ferma o cambia strada e ti ci porta. Tutto ciò ovviamente lasciandoti senza parole per la determinazione e per la passione che ci mette nel fare il suo lavoro. Questa vacanza è stata un’esperienza. Un viaggio indimenticabile per i luoghi sacri, religiosi e pieni di storia, per i paesaggi, le viste mozzafiato e i tramonti. Una cosa è certa, non ci sarebbe rimasta così nel cuore se non avessimo avuto un compagno di viaggio e amico come Fernando! Una settimana con lui x i luoghi più belli dello sri lanka, sempre stato gentile e disponibile nelle varie esigenze avute nel corso dei giorni...affidatevi tranquillamente a lui, sa perfettamente come muoversi e risulterà molto più conveniente che organizzarsi da soli o in agenzia!

Fernando is great! We visited Sri Lanka on August 2018, Fernando was waiting for us at the airport when we first met. He has been the **best** guide we could possibly desire for. He's been always keen to accomodate every sightseeing desire we had, whether it was a temple seen passing by the road or a shopping area for locals. He's been always available to reshape our tour to tailor it to our likes and wishes. He's also very knowledgeable of the history of Sri Lanka, he gave us insights like only a local could do and dives into the culture of the land like I saw no other guide do. This is not something to underestimate: he's a real guide and our tour wouldn't have been the same with another person. I *highly* recommend Fernando to anyone wishing to visit Sri Lanka and get lost in this beautiful country.
