Trincomalee is a port city on the northeast coast of Sri Lanka. Built in the 1600s, Fort Frederick is a colonial fort that was built by the Portuguese, and you will find lots of deer hidden there among other wildlife. Within its grounds, the grand Koneswaram Temple stands on Swami Rock cliff, a popular vantage point for blue whale watching.
The best place for snorkeling in Sri Lanka, Pigeon Island Marine National Park, is another fantastic item on the tour.
