Dambulla

On arrival the tour guide will welcome you at the airport and drive you to Dambulla (depending on arrival time) and visit Dambulla cave temple, and leisure in the hotel

Sigiriya

The Sigiriya Rock Fortress. Dating back to the 5th Century A.D, this astounding ‘city’ on the summit of a high outcrop was the royal citadel of King Kassapa for over 18 years. A miraculous feat of artistry and engineering, its unique features and exquisite frescoes continue to amaze all who visit it, even today.

Polonnaruwa

Polonnaruwa was the second capital of Sri Lanka after the destruction of Anuradhapura in 993. It comprises, besides the Brahmanic monuments built by the Cholas, the monumental ruins of the fabulous garden-city created by Parakramabahu I in the 12th century.

Polonnaruwa Minneriya safari

Enjoy an exciting safari at Minneriya National Park where you can watch elephants in their rightful home – in the wilds. One of the most spectacular wildlife events in Sri Lanka is ‘The Gathering’, where hundreds of elephants arrive by the herd from the surrounding areas to the Minneriya reservoir. As the water level recedes at the height of the dry season, they gather to feast on the lush grass, and quench their thirst for water and play.

Kandy

Thereafter leave for the hill capital of Kandy, on our way visit Batik factory, Wood carving
visiting a spice garden at Matale en route. Our spices have been sought after for centuries, and continue to be a celebrated export, even today.

Enjoy a city tour of Kandy – the last kingdom of the Sinhalese, taking in the sights of Upper Lake Drive on the way to pay homage to one of the most sacred religious sites in Sri Lanka. The Temple of the Tooth ( Dalada Maligawa) is believed to house the ‘tooth relic’ of the Lord Buddha.

Round off your day with a cultural show, where the vibrant costumes and pulsating rhythms of traditional dance forms from centuries old rituals will enthrall you.

Ella

After breakfast, proceed to Ella Continue via Nuwara Eliya, visiting Gem Museum, Shopping (if customer wishes) on the way stop at waterfalls and panoramas visit a tea factory along the way. In Nuwara Eliya go to Gregory’s lake Hanumanthan Temple and vegetable market .

The old colonial outpost still referred to as ‘Little England’ Nuwara Eliya certainly lives up to its name. Perched 6200 feet above sea level, the climate too, adds to the illusion of one stepping into an old English town, where neat hedges, quaint cottages and beautiful old buildings stand as serene as they did well over a century ago – the magnificent Grand Hotel presiding over them all.

Yala National Park or Udawalawe  Safari

Proceed to Benthota do a boat sfari in Madu Ganga

Sri Lanka is a real paradise for all nature lovers. Yet some places are especially beautiful and draw hundreds of tourists with enchanting sceneries and serene atmosphere. Madu River is located in the south of Sri Lanka near Galle.

The water of the river is dotted with small islands and the banks are all covered with lush mangrove forests that are home to dozens of incredible animal species. Enjoy hundreds of vibrant tropical birds and a few crocodiles if you’re lucky enough. These creatures are pretty rare and don’t like crowds.

Enjoy water sports and visit turtle hatchery

Turtles are reptiles of the order Chelonii. Therefore they are also called chelonians by researchers and conservationists. Chelonians are charaterized by the special bony shell or carapace, which is developed from their ribs and acts as a shield.

They are an old group with the very first proto-turtles having evolved over 220 milliom years ago in the Triassic Era. The order of Chelonii, also known as the Testudines, have three members in the group; turtles, tortoises and terrapins.
